Dear International Students,

We’d like to showcase our university through the eyes of our students from different countries around the world!

By creating a short video, you can share your own experiences and inspire prospective students who are considering applying to our university. The videos you submit will be used for promotional purposes on our university’s official website and corporate digital communication channels.

What Can You Include in Your Video?

Your video should be between 30 and 60 seconds long. You can cover the following topics:

• Introduce yourself (your name and country of origin)
• Mention which department you are studying in.
• Share why you chose our university.
• Talk about your favorite places on campus or your experiences here.
• You can provide brief insights into campus life, the academic environment, social events, or what it’s like to be a student in Izmir.
• Finally, you can conclude your video with a short sentence recommending our university to international students.

“I am proud to be a student at Dokuz Eylül University. We are waiting for you!”

Filming Techniques

To ensure your videos are high-quality and usable, please pay attention to the following points:

• The video must be filmed in portrait (9:16) format.
• The resolution must be at least Full HD (1080×1920).
• We recommend using your phone’s rear camera.
• Keep the camera as steady as possible during filming; you can use a tripod or ask a friend for help.
• Choose a well-lit and quiet environment.
• Your face should be clearly visible, and your voice should be audible.
• Use natural light whenever possible.
• There should be no copyrighted music in the background.
• If other people’s faces are clearly visible in the video, you must have obtained the necessary permissions.

Shooting Location Recommendations

You can film your video in one or more of the following locations:

• University entrance
• In front of your faculty or department building
• Campus green spaces
• Around the library
• Social gathering areas
• Common areas frequently used by students
